KANAWHA...SOUTHERN PUTNAM...NORTHERN LINCOLN AND NORTH CENTRAL WAYNE
At 412 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms produced a very rapid one to one half inch of rain.
There have been several reports of creeks out of their banks, and/or
roadways flooded. The heavy rain has moved out of the water, however
high water in low spots may linger for the next hour or so. Heed any
road closures and do not drive through flooded roadways.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Huntington, Nitro, Hamlin, Chesapeake, Proctorville, St. Albans,
Hurricane, Barboursville, Milton, Poca, Cross Lanes, Ona, Culloden,
Tornado, Teays Valley, Alum Creek, West Hamlin, Athalia, Sweetland
and Salt Rock.
